The Paperie's Istituto Fotocromo Italiano range was founded in Florence in 1928 by the engineer Vincenzo Balocchi, a well known amateur photographer and former artistic director of the Fratelli Alinari Company. The Istituto Fotocromo Italiano is still led by the Balocchi family which is now in its third generation.
